David Long

Managing Director

Managing director David Long has over 25 years’ experience supplying gas and diesel engine spare parts throughout the world. David founded D&L Diesels in 2002 in his native North West of England.

He was previously employed by Jenbacher’s UK distributor, ending his career with the company as a Project Manager for installations. Prior to this he was involved in the conversion of Ruston diesel engines to run on hydrogen gas in a purpose built 70,000 sq ft premises and has also been employed by Ruston themselves.

Lynne Long

Financial Director

Lynne is responsible for all aspects of finance and credit control.

Tony McDonagh

Service & Maintenance Manager

Tony is responsible for service and maintenance of engines under service contracts with D&L Diesels.  He is also responsible for Motortech sales and service.  Tony was a Chief Engineer in the Royal Navy for 23 years and has previously worked for Ruston as a senior service engineer looking after diesel gas and dual fuel engines.  Before joining D&L Diesels Tony was Service & Maintenance Manager at a large  power generation company responsible for looking after 98 Jenbacher engines, 26 Caterpillar engines and 6 Deutz engines, all running on gas, and in total representing over 110 megawatts of power.

Service Staff

Our new Service Department is capable of performing services both in-house and in situ, whichever suits you best.  We offer regular servicing and repairs on these brands:

• Ruston,
• Jenbacher,
• Caterpillar,
• Deutz.

We can undertake work on other engines not listed above so please contact us should you have any requirements not listed above.

Office Supervisor

Manda leads our Administrative Team. When you call our office, you are most likely to speak to Manda or one of her team: Alex, Sonya or Mary.

Alex deals with supplier and customer orders.

Sonya deals with enquiries and quotations.

Administrative Assistant

Mary is fluent in Greek. having lived in Greece for 5 years.

Alan Monk

Warehouse Manager

Alan leads our team of four warehouse staff, receiving parts from, and despatching parts to, all corners of the globe.

David Chadwick

ISO/H&S Manager

David is responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety and upkeep of D&L Diesels ISO9001 quality assurance systems.
